As a keen home cook, I love finding things that make my job easier, and things that mean I can spend less time in the kitchen and more time with my girlfriend. At least that’s what I tell HER! In reality I just love the shiny chrome, the polished knobs, the exotic twirls, of a good kitchen accessory. I spend hours in kitchenwares shops looking at gleaming racks of goodies, wondering if I can really justify buying that griddle pan or Japanese forged steel knife (I usually can).
None of this makes a speck of difference to how well I cook, but that doesn’t matter. It’s the feeling of knowing that I always have exactly the right tool for the job. Even if I never use it.
